Position: Qualified SEN Teacher / Unqualified SEN Teacher
We are currently recruiting Qualified and Unqualified SEN Teachers to work within specialist SEN schools across East London.
We are interested in hearing from experienced SEN Teachers as well as teachers from mainstream settings who are looking to transition into Special Educational Needs education.
Schools support children and young people with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, PMLD, SLD, MLD, complex needs, communication difficulties and associated behaviours that challenge.
The Role
Depending on the school and class, responsibilities may include:
Teaching small classes of pupils with SEN
Planning and delivering differentiated, accessible lessons
Adapting teaching approaches to individual learning needs
Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and engagement
Following EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment
We Would Like to Hear From:
Qualified Teachers with QTS/QTLS
Unqualified Teachers with relevant classroom or SEN experience
Primary or Secondary Teachers looking to transition into SEN
Teachers with experience supporting Autism, SEMH, PMLD or complex needs
Candidates who are patient, resilient, adaptable and passionate about inclusive education
Previous SEN teaching experience is desirable but not essential for all opportunities, particularly if you have strong teaching experience and a genuine interest in moving into the SEN sector.
