I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham to join a welcoming primary school and provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs.

The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham, committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

The school has a strong focus on inclusion and is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham who can build positive relationships with pupils and support their academic, social and emotional development.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

You may be providing:

• 1:1 and small group support
• Support for pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Assistance with classroom learning and activities
• Emotional and behavioural support
• Personal care where required
• Support with communication and social development
• Assistance with implementing individual learning and support plans

📍 Location: Lewisham
📅 Start: September 2026
🕐 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
💷 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham will ideally have:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN
• Primary school or education experience
• A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Strong classroom management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for inclusive education

Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs would be advantageous.
