SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD – Greenwich

Location: Greenwich, South East London
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026

Transparency Education is looking for a caring and dependable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism within a Greenwich primary setting.

The successful applicant will understand the importance of predictability, communication and building trust when supporting pupils with ASD.

What will the role involve?

You will:

  • Support pupils individually and within the classroom.
  • Adapt learning tasks to make them accessible.
  • Use structured routines and visual resources where appropriate.
  • Encourage communication and social interaction.
  • Support pupils experiencing sensory or emotional dysregulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO.
  • Help children develop independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and communicate pupil progress.
We would like to hear from you if you have: 

  • Previous ASD or SEND experience.
  • Experience working in a UK school or similar educational setting.
  • A patient and attentive manner.
  • The ability to follow individual support plans.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in inclusive education.

Additional training in autism, communication approaches or SEND would be beneficial.
