Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work full-time from September across a range of specialist schools and alternative provisions in Leeds.
We are looking for resilient, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, complex learning needs and communication difficulties.
The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
- Support students with personal care where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to meet pupils' individual needs.
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
