SEN Teacher pay: £120-£271 per day
SEN Teaching Assistant pay: £96-£115 per day
Rates depend on the role, experience and school.

Contracts: Day-to-day supply, short-term, long-term, maternity cover and permanent
Hours: Full-time and part-time

SEN Teachers
We welcome qualified teachers, ECTs and applicants with relevant UK school teaching experience, subject to each role's qualification requirements. Mainstream teachers with experience supporting pupils with SEND are also encouraged to apply.
Opportunities may span EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and post-16, including subject teaching, functional skills, life skills and personalised learning.
Responsibilities may include:
Adapting lessons to pupils' learning, communication and sensory needs
Creating a positive, structured classroom environment
Working with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals
Supporting EHCP outcomes and monitoring individual progress
Planning, marking and assessment where required
SEN Teaching Assistants
We welcome experienced SEN TAs, Learning Support Assistants and applicants with relevant experience in education, care, youth work or disability support. A TA qualification is welcome, but relevant experience may also be suitable, depending on the role.
You may support pupils individually, in small groups or within a classroom, helping to:
Access learning under the teacher's direction
Develop communication, confidence and independence
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Encourage participation and build social skills
Share observations with teachers and support staff
Some roles include personal care or mobility support. We'll explain requirements and relevant training before you accept a placement.
All SEN/SEND specialisms welcome
We welcome experience in specialist schools, alternative provision, pupil referral units, resource bases and mainstream SEND support, including:
Autism/ASC and ADHD
Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
Moderate and severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
Speech, language and communication needs
Specific learning difficulties, sensory impairments and physical disabilities
Complex needs and additional learning needs
You don't need experience across every specialism. Tell us where your strengths lie. Experience with nurture provision, Makaton, PECS or positive behaviour support is welcome where relevant.
