About the Role
Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of additional needs. This rewarding position involves working in a specialist educational settings, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs, providing tailored interventions and promoting positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and behavioural needs.
- Support the delivery of individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Encourage the development of social skills, emotional regulation and positive relationships.
- Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCOs, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
- Promote pupil engagement, independence and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Understanding of a range of special educational needs and additional learning requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
- Right to work in the UK.
