Sen Teaching Assistant

Pioneer People are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Moseley and the surrounding areas.

We are particularly interested in candidates who already have experience supporting children with additional needs and are confident working on a 1:1 basis, with small groups or as part of a classroom team.

The role may include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Helping pupils access learning and engage within the classroom
  • Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
  • Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable, particularly within a primary school environment.

Relevant qualifications are also preferred, including:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Childcare or Early Years qualifications
  • SEN-specific training or qualifications
  • Other relevant education or child development qualifications

We will also consider candidates with strong experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in other educational or care settings.
