Pioneer People are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN setting in Bromsgrove on a long-term basis.

The setting supports pupils from EYFS through to Post-16, with flexibility around the age group you work with depending on your experience, strengths and preferences.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs
  • Encouraging engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours
  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour where required
  • Following individual support plans and working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
  • Maintaining a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • Experience within a specialist SEN setting or school environment is desirable
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification is desirable
  • Experience supporting autism, SEMH, ADHD, SLD or complex needs would be beneficial

Age range: EYFS to Post-16, with flexibility based on experience and preference
