ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry mainstream primary school in Beckton, East London. This well-established primary school serves a diverse and vibrant local community and is committed to ensuring that all pupils can achieve their full potential.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will join a caring and professional team, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.

The position is open to experienced SEN Teaching Assistants. Depending on performance, the school may look to extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
· Location - Newham, East London
· Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
· Type of work - Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, assisting with learning, behaviour support and classroom activities
· Contract or position start date - September 2026
· Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2027
· Full time/part time - Full time
· Rate of pay - GBP100 - GBP115 per day (depending on experience)
· Hours - 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or in a similar child-centred role
· Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs is desirable
· Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable (training can be provided where required)
· GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
· Relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN or Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
