We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to positively impact the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with a variety of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Supporting the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education or SEN setting
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative
  • Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
