SEN Teaching Assistant

£90-£105 per day

Full-time | September 2026 start

Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:00pm

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hackney from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children with additional needs and wants to play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and achieve their potential.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong commitment to supporting children with special educational needs. Staff work closely together to create a positive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

You will be joining a collaborative team where SEN provision is highly valued and where staff are encouraged to develop their skills.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide support to pupils with additional learning needs
• Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Support access to lessons and classroom activities
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
• Assist with personalised learning strategies and interventions
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to support pupil progress

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children with SEN
• Understands the importance of patience, consistency, and encouragement
• Can support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Builds strong relationships with children quickly
• Has a positive, proactive, and caring approach
• Is confident working as part of a supportive school team
