SEND Teaching Assistant
£100-£117 per day
Morning sessions initially - full days to follow
Remedy Education are currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with SEND, predominantly autism, in a supportive school setting in South East London.
The role will initially be mornings only, with the opportunity to move to full-time hours.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with SEND/autism, ideally within EYFS or KS1
- Is calm, patient and consistent when supporting children with regulation
- Is proactive and confident, able to take initiative without always waiting to be directed
- Can support communication, including children with limited or emerging spoken language
- Is confident using visual supports, individual targets and structured activities
- Can support learning through play, continuous provision and focused 1:1/small-group activities
- Is flexible and able to adapt to individual needs
- Communicates well with children and adults
- Is reliable and able to provide consistency
We are ideally looking to identify a couple of suitable candidates who may be available to meet or trial for the role.
