Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced specialist school in Rugby that supports children and young people with a range of complex additional needs, including Autism (ASC), communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
The school is committed to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Due to continued growth, the school is looking to appoint dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants.
Your new role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with additional needs both inside and outside the classroom, helping them access education and achieve their individual goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children or young people in an education, care, support work, youth work, or SEN setting
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays
