Location: Greenwich, South East London
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Transparency Education is recruiting a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant for a long-term primary school opportunity in Greenwich.

The role will focus on helping pupils overcome social, emotional and behavioural barriers so they are able to participate successfully in school life.

Your role will include


  • Providing targeted support to individual pupils.
  • Helping children regulate emotions and return to learning.
  • Reinforcing agreed behaviour strategies.
  • Supporting classroom engagement and participation.
  • Helping prevent escalation by identifying triggers.
  • Encouraging positive communication and relationships.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams.
  • Celebrating progress and encouraging increasing independence.
  • Candidate requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in SEMH, SEND or behaviour support.
  • Emotionally resilient.
  • Calm and consistent.
  • Able to build rapport without compromising boundaries.
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour appropriately.
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term position.

Relevant experience from education, mentoring, youth work or specialist support settings may be considered.

This role requires patience and resilience, but it also offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a childs experience of education.
