SEN Teaching Assistant - Forest Gate, East London - full time - 5 days a week
We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in East London.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, with an immediate start available. The role is offered on a long-term basis, with opportunities for both permanent and temp-to-perm placements.

We offer short/long term placements on a temporary and permanent basis for specialist SEN teachers, teaching assistants, support workers, social workers, VI/HI practitioners and mid-day meal supervisors

The Role
- Support students with Special Educational Needs within the classroom.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access learning.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Promote positive behaviour and support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is preferred.
- Experience supporting behaviour management within a school setting is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential, or you must be willing to obtain one.
