Supply Desk are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Carpenders Park area, starting this September.
This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and committed to helping every pupil make progress in their learning and personal development. The successful candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and resilient, with a genuine desire to create a positive and supportive environment where pupils feel confident and encouraged to succeed.
You will work closely with class teachers and other members of staff to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop their academic, social, emotional, and communication skills. You will also play an important role in promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour, ensuring that every pupil receives the individualised support they need.

Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs
• Support pupils with their learning, communication, social development, and independence
• Work closely with teachers and other members of the school's support team
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning and support plans
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is advantageous
• Passion for the development of learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
