Salary: £92.63 - £140 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school in Sale, Manchester, that is dedicated to supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs. The school adopts a warm and nurturing approach, creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis from September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to support pupils with Autism and complex needs, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, promoting engagement in learning and encouraging independence throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is desirable

• Experience working with children or young people with Autism and complex needs

• A good understanding of SEND and strategies to support communication and learning

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach

• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
