Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in the B31 area of Birmingham supporting pupils with PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Autism / ASD. The setting supports pupils across mixed Key Stages and provides a specialist environment focused on meeting individual learning, communication and developmental needs.

The setting is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for day-to-day opportunities, with long-term positions also available. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across mixed Key Stages, assist with learning and daily activities, and work closely with teaching and support staff to provide consistent support tailored to individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD and/or Autism

• Confidence supporting pupils with complex additional needs

• A Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service would be highly desirable

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
