1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Bournemouth | September Start

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bournemouth. This is a full-time role starting in September, with the potential to progress from a temporary position to a permanent opportunity.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a child in Key Stage 2 (KS2), helping them to flourish both academically and emotionally. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of being a reliable and consistent presence, providing the stability and reassurance that enables children to thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

✨ Providing dedicated 1:1 support to meet the child's individual needs.
✨ Delivering engaging, creative, and meaningful activities that promote learning and development.
✨ Creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where the child feels valued and supported.
✨ Building positive relationships and maintaining consistency to help develop trust and confidence.
✨ Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to achieve the best outcomes for the pupil.

✔ Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
✔ Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2 (KS2).
✔ A warm, patient, and nurturing approach.
✔ Someone who is reliable, committed, and able to provide a consistent presence for the child.
✔ The ability to deliver engaging activities and adapt to individual learning styles.
✔ A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
