Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Hours: Monday to Friday | No Weekend Work

We are working with a number of specialist SEND schools across Cambridgeshire who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • ADHD
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Complex needs and associated behaviours

Working closely with teachers and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will help create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
About You

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
  • Are patient, resilient, and empathetic
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential)
  • Hold a Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (desirable for some locations)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
