Academics are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across primary schools in Mid Sussex.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to children's education and development.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may provide 1:1, small-group or classroom-based support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.
You may be supporting children with:
- ASD
- ADHD
- SEMH
- Global Developmental Delay
- Speech and Language needs
- Complex learning needs
- EHCPs
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with children or young people with SEN
- Patient, calm and nurturing
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour where required
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Reliable and adaptable
- Passionate about inclusive education
Previous school-based experience is desirable, although relevant experience in care, youth work, support work or similar settings may also be considered.
