TimePlan Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEN school in Bromley.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and well-resourced school.



The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups throughout the school day. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and therapists to help students achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

You will:

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech & Language needs.
  • Help pupils access learning within the classroom.
  • Build positive relationships and encourage confidence and independence.
  • Support pupils during break and lunch times where required.
  • Assist with personal care if necessary.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies, with full training provided.

You'll work closely with the school's SENCO, Senior Leadership Team, therapists, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure every pupil receives the best possible support.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good behaviour management skills.
  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Available Monday to Friday and able to commit to a long-term role (minimum 2-6 months).
