Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £90-£105 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term with the potential to become permanent
Start Date: September 2026 / ASAP
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a highly regarded Primary Academy in East Bristol, part of a successful and well-established multi-academy trust, to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the school's specialist resource provision.
This rewarding role will involve supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) alongside pupils who are learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). You'll work within a dedicated, nurturing provision designed to provide targeted support, helping pupils build confidence, develop communication skills and access learning in a calm and inclusive environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEN and EAL on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Deliver targeted interventions to develop communication, language and social skills.
- Help pupils access learning through tailored resources and differentiated activities.
- Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers, the SEND team and specialist staff to provide high-quality support.
- Contribute to a welcoming, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, care or similar setting.
- Has an interest in supporting pupils with SEN and EAL.
- Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
- Builds positive relationships with children and works well as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two recent professional references.
