SEN Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Primary School
Location: Brent, North West London
Pay: £95-£115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a well-established specialist primary school in Brent, supporting children with Autism (ASC), complex learning needs and communication difficulties.

The school is growing and expanding its specialist provision, making this an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team.

The Role

As an SEN LSA, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You will help create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment where every child can make progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
  • Supporting children with Autism and complex learning needs
  • Helping pupils develop their communication, social and emotional skills
  • Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
  • Implementing individual learning and behaviour strategies
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff
  • Assisting with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children with additional needs and has previous experience within a school or specialist setting.

Experience with ASC/Autism, SLD, complex needs, PECS, Makaton, sensory needs or positive behaviour support would be highly desirable.

You don't necessarily need every qualification listed above - we're looking for people with the right attitude, resilience and genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
