SEN Teaching Assistant – UB4

Location: UB4, London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 3-form entry mainstream primary school in UB4 from September 2026. The successful candidate will work within the school’s SEN provision, supporting pupils with additional needs, including sensory needs, to access learning and develop confidence, independence and positive engagement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment that values inclusion and offers opportunities for professional development and progression. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver targeted interventions and provide tailored support for pupils through small group and individual activities.

The Role:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including sensory needs, within the school’s SEN provision
  • Deliver small group interventions to support pupils’ learning, communication and development
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support where required to help pupils access the curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing independence, confidence and emotional regulation
  • Assist with adapting resources and activities to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO and support staff to implement effective strategies
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and the wider SEN team
  • Encourage positive engagement and participation in classroom activities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar role
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, ideally including sensory needs
  • Confidence delivering interventions and supporting small group activities
  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
