Primary Teaching Assistant – SEN Support – Full-Time, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school located in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent. This role is ideal for candidates eager to make a positive impact on young learners, particularly within the special educational needs (SEN) sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support to pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support that addresses individual pupil needs.
• Assist in planning and implementing engaging learning activities and routines.
• Support students with SEN to enhance their social and academic growth.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised classroom setting.
• Promote the inclusion of all pupils, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Support personal care requirements as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working with children, ideally within primary or SEN settings.
• Strong communication and teamworking skills.
• Competence in personal care.
• A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
• Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
