Key Responsibilities
As a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Aberdare, your daily duties will include:

• Providing general classroom support to help pupils access learning and stay engaged
• Working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver structured, inclusive lessons
• Supporting children with very complex learning difficulties by adapting approaches to meet individual needs
• Assisting with behavioural and emotional strategies to promote positive development
• Helping maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents or carers in Aberdare

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Aberdare, you will need:

• Previous experience supporting children with complex learning needs and/or challenging behaviours
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
• Relevant qualifications in education, SEND or childcare (desirable)
• Mandatory compliance with an enhanced DBS check and full UK driving licence is preferred
