SEN Teaching Assistants

School House Recruitment urgently need more SEN Teaching Assistants for Primary School assignments in the Rotherham area. We are especially keen to speak with SEN Teaching Assistants who have specific Nursery experience.

The schools we assist love the idea of working closely with a smaller, independent supply teaching specialist that genuinely looks after its supply staff. As a result, we urgently require additional, motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants, looking to work on day-to-day and/or long-term assignments starting asap. 

Our SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) have a real passion for helping teachers to develop the knowledge and skills of young learners, together with a cheerful personality to ensure every day at school is fun.

Ideally, they are Level 2 and/or Full and Relevant (for pupil ratio reasons) Level 3 qualified and have practical classroom experience working with pupils who have additional needs. The additional needs can be specific e.g. Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language, or more general learning difficulties. The SEN Teaching Assistants we need also have strong literacy and numeracy skills and are familiar with the more popular learning systems e.g. Phonics/Read Write Inc. and White Rose Maths/Maths Makes Sense. 
 

Whether working closely with the class teacher in whole class, taking smaller groups or doing 1-2-1 intervention work, our Teaching Assistants confidently provide a valuable contribution to the schools we assist. 

What type of individuals are we looking for?

• We need experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
• SEN Teaching Assistants with either a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Confident individuals who are happy to work in whole class, in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis
• Positive role models who work closely with the class teacher to offer pupils additional support
• SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about the education of young learners – especially those with additional needs (SEN)
• Individuals available to work full and part-time hours Monday to Friday, on day-to-day and/or long-term assignments, starting asap
