SEN Tutor
Prospero Teaching
Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to provide up to 10-15 hours of 1:1 tuition per week to children and young people in Bromley who are currently out of school, awaiting specialist placements, or need additional support to access education.
We support learners from Primary through to Post-16, many of whom have complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD and SEMH needs
- Global Developmental Delay (GDD)
- Physical disabilities and medical needs
- Communication and interaction needs
- Sensory processing difficulties
This role requires an individual who can adapt learning to highly individual needs, delivering engaging, personalised sessions that support academic progress, independence, and engagement in learning.
Tuition takes place in homes (with a responsible adult present), libraries, or community settings, with full support, resources, and progress monitoring provided by our Learning Delivery Team.

Contract / Position Details

- Type: Contract - Face-to-face tuition
- Start: ASAP | Duration: Ongoing
- Hours: Up to 10-15 per week (flexible)
- Rate: £25-£35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Experience supporting SEN learners with additional needs
- Experience working with students from primary to post-16
- Ability to deliver tailored 1:1 sessions and personalised learning plans
- Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated approaches
- Knowledge of behaviour management and communication strategies desirable
- Relevant qualification (QTS/PGCE/SEN) desirable but not essential
To be eligible, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Provide two professional child-related references from the last two years
