SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location: Telford
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £15 per hour
Students: 16–18-year-olds
We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a college in Telford, supporting students aged 16–18 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will provide targeted, person-centred support to students, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their potential.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
- Support students with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Assist students to engage with classroom learning and activities.
- Work closely with teaching staff to provide appropriate support.
- Encourage students' independence, confidence and development.
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enhanced DBS Child and Adult
- Experienced in supporting children or young people.
- Comfortable in delivering personal care
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND.
- Patient, caring and approachable.
- Confident working one-to-one and in small groups.
- Able to build positive relationships with students.
- Reliable and committed to the full working pattern.
