Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Salary: £35,000 - £49,000 per annum (Actual Salary | Depending on Experience & Qualifications)
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks) | Part-Time Considered

Luma Education Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded specialist SEND college in Leicestershire to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Specialist Tutor.

This rewarding permanent opportunity is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Autism (ASC), Learning Disabilities (LD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and additional learning needs.

You'll deliver personalised, engaging learning programmes that help students achieve their EHCP outcomes, develop independence, and prepare for adulthood, employment and community life.

As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
• Teach learners with SEND, Autism, learning disabilities and communication needs.
• Create an inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
• Support learners to develop academic, personal, social and independent living skills.
• Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, therapists and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Monitor learner progress and contribute to annual reviews and assessments.
• Promote confidence, wellbeing and successful preparation for adulthood.

You will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, CertEd or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching or supporting learners with SEND.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and person-centred learning approaches.
• Experience working with Autism, learning disabilities, SEMH or communication needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

This role offers an actual annual salary of £35,000-£49,000 (not pro-rata), depending on qualifications and experience.
