About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team, working closely with teaching staff and the Inclusion team to deliver tailored support that enables every pupil to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, both in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources
  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised interventions
  • Foster positive relationships that build pupil confidence, independence, and engagement
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and contributing to reviews
  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals where required

  • Has experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)
  • Is patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting individual needs
  • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is creative, adaptable and proactive in their approach
  • Builds positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and delivering the best outcomes for every child
