SEND Teacher in Basildon, Essex

Bright Futures Recruitment is working with a specialist SEND setting in Basildon that is looking to appoint a permanent SEND Teacher to join their team from January 2027, with an earlier start available for the right person.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with young people who need a more individual approach to education and wants to become part of a specialist setting on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons while creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment. You’ll work closely with support staff and other professionals to help pupils make progress both academically and personally.

We’d love to hear from teachers who:

• Hold QTS/QTLS or have relevant teaching experience

• Have experience within SEND, SEN, SEMH or Alternative Provision

• Can adapt lessons to different abilities and learning needs

• Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills

• Are patient, resilient and able to build genuine relationships with young people

• Want to work somewhere they can really make a difference

Experience within a specialist setting would be an advantage, but we’re also keen to speak with mainstream teachers who are looking to move into SEND and have the right approach and personality.
