SEND Teacher Needed- Thats FUN :)

Classroom Recruiters

Do you want to work in a team that is fun and child-centred?

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a small, dynamic class of pupils with additional needs.

Your role will be to deliver engaging, personalised lessons that enable every learner to make meaningful academic, social, and emotional progress. Previous SEND experience is beneficial but not essential, and applications are welcomed from teachers with both mainstream and specialist backgrounds.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or Post-14 teaching qualifications are required. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, resilience, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a broad range of curriculum subjects.
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum.
  • Develop and review personalised learning programmes in line with EHCP outcomes.
  • Foster a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom where pupils feel safe, valued, and confident to learn.
  • Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence, communication, and social development alongside academic achievement.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, parents, and external professionals to provide consistent support.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement, confidence, and personal growth.
  • Monitor progress, assess learning, and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.

About the School

The school provides a highly personalised educational environment where every pupil is supported according to their individual strengths and needs. Staff work collaboratively to create calm, structured classrooms that encourage confidence, curiosity, and independence. Teachers are encouraged to use creative teaching approaches while ensuring every pupil progresses at a pace that is right for them.

Recognising that every child learns differently, the school is committed to providing tailored learning journeys that remove barriers to education and maximise each pupil's potential.

A Rewarding Opportunity

Working as an SEN Teacher offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. You will support pupils in developing academically, socially, and emotionally while building the confidence and life skills they need for future success.

Creativity, patience, and innovation are highly valued, giving you the opportunity to develop engaging learning experiences that inspire every pupil.

Supporting New Pupils

The school places great importance on ensuring new pupils settle successfully. Carefully planned transition programmes help students build confidence and become familiar with routines at their own pace, creating a smooth integration into the school community while maintaining consistency for existing pupils.

This full-time, fixed-term position runs from September until the December school holidays, with a comprehensive handover provided to support a smooth transition into the role.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of experienced SEND Teaching Assistants and specialist staff who are committed to creating an exceptional learning environment for both pupils and colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact during the autumn term while becoming part of a supportive and collaborative school community.
