Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist provision in Portsmouth.
This rewarding opportunity involves teaching pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language needs and SEMH.
You'll deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while working alongside experienced support staff to help every learner develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Differentiate learning to meet EHCP targets.
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and parents.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and adaptive teaching.
- Patient, flexible and creative teaching approach.
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
