You'll support pupils across different classes, working alongside teachers and other support staff to help children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) access learning, build confidence and develop their skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to gain further experience in a specialist school setting.

What will you be doing?

  • Helping teachers deliver lessons and prepare classroom activities.
  • Encouraging pupils to participate in learning and complete their work.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, adapting your approach to suit their individual needs.
  • Observing pupils' progress and sharing feedback with teachers.
  • Helping maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' learning and development needs.

What we're looking for

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Good communication skills and a patient, positive approach.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
  • The ability to commute to Hemel Hempstead or live locally.

No formal teaching qualification is required for this role. We're looking for someone dependable, enthusiastic and keen to make a difference.

Why work with Envision Education?

  • We take your preferred location, role and pay expectations into account when discussing suitable vacancies.
  • Our registration process is straightforward, with interviews conducted via Zoom.
  • Our friendly team will guide you through registration and help you find opportunities that suit your experience.
  • We're rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google.
