SEND Teaching Assistant - Northampton

Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a fixed-term position with the potential to be extended.

The Role:

  • Full-time, fixed-term position (32.5 hours per week, term time)
  • Supporting pupils with SEND within the classroom and in small group interventions
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored support
  • Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary setting
  • Good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passionate about helping every child succeed
