TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic Primary SEND school based in the Telford area. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with autism and learning difficulties, placing a strong emphasis on communication, independence and helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis with a September start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, promoting positive behaviour and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with autism and learning difficulties
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working within a Primary or SEND school environment
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
