TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic Primary and Secondary SEND school in North Birmingham. The school provides a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils aged 4 to 16 with autism and learning difficulties, encouraging independence, confidence and positive outcomes through personalised learning and therapeutic support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a day to day with a September start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the school through one-to-one and small group interventions, working alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging learning activities, promote positive behaviour and help every child achieve their individual goals.
The role is flexible and ideal for those currently studying or who don't want to commit to a full time, long term role. 

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children with autism and learning difficulties within a SEND or education setting
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional needs and promote positive behaviour
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, adaptable and caring approach to supporting young people
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
