SEND Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in Bradford who are looking to appoint a SEND LSA. The provision supports children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs, providing a supportive environment focused on helping pupils engage positively with their education.

The provision is looking for a SEND LSA for both day to day and long-term cover from September 2026. The successful SEND LSA will support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, working alongside teaching and support staff to encourage engagement, manage challenging behaviours and provide consistent support throughout the school day.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs
• Experience working within an education or alternative provision setting
• Confidence supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviours
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
