Hays are one of the largest education agencies in the Merseyside region. We work exclusively with over 65% of schools in the area. Currently, we are working in partnership with a school in the Maghull area who are recruiting for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant from September 2026.



Your new role
This Teaching Assistant job will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 student with additional needs.

Duties for this job will include:* Following the EHCP recommendations for the student to ensure their individual needs are met* Providing targeted support both in and outside the classroom* Working closely with the class teacher to ensure the lessons are accessible for the student in your care; preparing resources and teaching materials* Working closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress
* Providing regular feedback to the family to ensure home and school are working together in their support for the student

What you'll need to succeed
* A minimum of six months experience working with children with additional needs* Excellent communication skills* Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum* Confidence in managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role.
