ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a unique and nurturing primary school in Greenwich that is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCO to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The curriculum is designed to educate the whole child, encouraging curiosity, imagination, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
As SENDCO, you will play a pivotal role in leading the school's provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every child receives the support and opportunities they need to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, highly organised, and committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Greenwich, South East London
- Position - SENDCO
- Type of work - Leading SEND provision, managing EHCPs, conducting assessments and reviews, liaising with parents and external agencies, supporting staff with inclusive practice, and ensuring statutory compliance
- Contract or position start date - September 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration - Full Academic Year
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2027
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary Contract
- Full time/part time - Full Time
- Rate of pay - £250 - £300 per day
- Hours - 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND within a UK school setting
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
