The Role
As SENDCO, you will:
- Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
- Oversee EHCPs, Annual Reviews, and statutory processes
- Support and guide teaching staff to deliver high-quality inclusive practice
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusive strategy
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- The National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience within a secondary school setting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A child-centred and solution-focused approach
