Job Title: Senior/Semi Senior Accountant
Location: Finchley
Package: £35,000-£45,000, annual bonus scheme, medical insurance, progression routes
Working Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm

A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Semi Senior Accountant within a growing accountancy practice in Finchley. This practice hold lasting relationships with a mixed set of clients, from Real Estates, HNWs, Investment companies, Tech business, Sports and Creative industries, Wholesalers, International Clients, Restaurants etc) and they've built significant reputation whilst remaining independent in terms of expert tax planning advice, business advisory, tax and accounts compliance and also corporate services.

Semi Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns.
• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
• Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Processing journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
• Liaising directly with clients and handling day-to-day accounting queries.
• Supporting clients with general accounting and tax-related matters.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Assisting senior members of the team with more complex accounts and tax work.
• Keeping up to date with relevant accounting and tax legislation.

Semi Senior Accountant Job Requirements

• Part Qualified or Qualified ACCA or ACA candidates can be considered, or QBE
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, Tech, Accounting software (Xero, Payroll and accounts production) - Iris (preferable but not essential)
• Profound knowledge and experience in bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and drafting financial statements
• Preparation of tax returns (self-assessments and corporate taxes)
• Client facing role and ability to communicate to HMRC, clients and teammate.
• Must be able to comfortably commute to Finchley
• Should have a willingness to learn and be a proactive and driven individual
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

Semi Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits
