Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Senior Administrator / Office Manager to join a successful engineering business in Stafford.
This is a key role within the company, combining Office Management, Project Administration and Document Control. The successful Senior Administrator / Office Manager will be someone who is highly organised, takes ownership and is comfortable managing a varied workload within a busy office environment.
The role supports the wider business and engineering teams, with responsibility for office services alongside the administration and document control associated with multiple engineering projects.
All applicants must hold a British passport only and not hold dual nationality as you’ll be put through security clearance.
Key aspects of the Senior Administrator / Office Manager role include:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the office including suppliers, stationery, mail and invoice processing
- Project administration across multiple engineering projects
- Managing project documentation, registers, correspondence and document control
- Reviewing documentation before it is issued to clients
- Quality checking technical documents for spelling, grammar and clarity
- Liaising with clients, engineers and other internal stakeholders
- Supporting purchasing, finance, facilities and other areas of the business
- Maintaining accurate and auditable records throughout the project lifecycle
The successful Senior Administrator / Office Manager will need:
- Several years' experience in a senior administration, project administration or office management role
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Confidence in dealing with engineers, managers and clients
- The personality to take ownership, command respect and make sure things get done
- Experience of document control or working within a project-led environment would be highly advantageous
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, systems integration or another quality-driven environment would be useful, although technical knowledge isn't essential
- Previous exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 environments would be advantageous
- Due to the nature of the projects, applicants must be able to obtain the required UK security clearance
