Location: Cornwall

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

A respected and growing residential property developer is seeking a Senior Architect to become part of its in-house team based in Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect to play a key role in the design and delivery of a broad portfolio of residential developments, ranging from thoughtfully designed housing schemes to luxury bespoke properties. Working alongside the land, planning, technical, and construction teams, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early concept design to final completion. The position offers significant responsibility, allowing you to help shape design quality, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and coordination of residential developments across all stages of the architectural process.
  • Prepare high-quality design concepts, planning drawings, and presentation material.
  • Manage projects through concept design, planning, and technical delivery to completion.
  • Coordinate external consultants, ensuring information is delivered accurately and in line with project programmes.
  • Review technical documentation to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain design excellence and achieve project objectives.
  • Provide architectural input during the construction phase, responding to technical queries and resolving design issues.
  • Attend project meetings and act as the primary architectural contact throughout project delivery.

Requirements

  • Qualified Architect with current ARB registration.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering residential developments within the UK.
  • Strong design ability supported by a solid understanding of residential construction and technical detailing.
  • Experience managing projects through planning, design development, and technical delivery stages.
  • Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning legislation, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in CAD software, with experience using Archicad considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and managing project information.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
