Location: Manchester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 pa + comprehensive benefits (depending on experience)

We are currently working with a highly respected, employee-owned architectural and design practice that is looking to strengthen its Manchester team with an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys working on complex projects, collaborating with talented architects and designers, and seeing projects progress from concept through to successful delivery.

The Opportunity

Joining an established and growing team, you will play an important role in the technical development and delivery of projects, working closely with architects, consultants, contractors and clients.

You will be involved across the later RIBA stages, helping to develop robust technical solutions, coordinate information and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

The practice works across a diverse range of sectors, giving you the opportunity to contribute to large-scale, high-quality projects while continuing to broaden your experience.

This isn't simply a role where you'll be producing drawings you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, contribute technical expertise and become an important part of the wider project team.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing detailed technical information and construction documentation.
  • Taking responsibility for technical delivery across projects.
  • Working collaboratively with architects, designers, consultants and contractors.
  • Coordinating design information and resolving technical issues.
  • Producing detailed drawings, specifications and other project information.
  • Contributing to projects through RIBA Stages 46.
  • Supporting junior members of the team and sharing your technical knowledge.
  • Attending design and project meetings where required.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and external consultants.
  • Helping to ensure projects are delivered to the required quality, programme and technical standards.

What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from experienced Architectural Technologists who are confident working within a professional architectural practice and have a strong understanding of technical design and construction.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience working as an Architectural Technologist / Senior Architectural Technologist.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Experience delivering projects through the technical and construction stages.
  • Good understanding of UK construction methods, regulations and standards.
  • Experience producing detailed technical and construction information.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Strong Revit skills and experience working within a BIM environment.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and passionate about delivering great architecture.
