Senior Asset Manager – Adur
Location: Shoreham (Sussex) - Attendance in the office in Worthing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and usually one other day.
Salary: £56,195.00
Full time – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Contract: Permanent.
The role requires RICS qualification (MRICS). As Senior Asset Manager, you will work closely with the Property and Investment Managers to support the wider Property and Investment Team. Your responsibilities will include delivering high‑quality property asset‑management and development support, attending meetings and events, liaising with partners and colleagues, and leading or assisting on a diverse range of projects.
You will play a key role in helping the team deliver the Councils’ Commercial Property Investment Strategy and Property Asset Management Strategy, contributing directly to the priorities of the Place & Economy Directorate.
The role requires RICS qualification (MRICS). The investment portfolio is interesting and diverse, including investment stock across the South of the UK, Midlands, and North. The local portfolio is diverse and includes seafront leisure property, retail, ground leases, offices, land, community, charity and a limited amount of industrial stock.
The Senior role covers landlord and tenant matters, disposals, administration of the estate, problem-solving, DCF and other analyses, tenant relations, instructing and dealing with external consultants, and interaction with our councillors. It is not a maintenance or facilities role.
We would expect someone with good analytical skills, able to write succinct and accurate committee reports, keep good records, and fit into an energetic, personable and skilled team. We require a candidate who can manage their time well and grasp the strategic objectives whilst handling an interesting caseload.
The role requires RICS qualification (MRICS).
This is a non residential portfolio, the candidate must have commercial experience.
Knowledge of the local area is preferred.
We are looking to have someone in post as soon as possible.
The candidate does not need Local Authority experience but ideally a candidate would have both local authority and private sector experience.
