Senior Associate Director

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Director to lead property access, approvals and stakeholder coordination across major rail, transport, energy and essential-services programmes in Ireland or Northern Ireland. This permanent, full-time role will provide senior leadership across a regional portfolio, with responsibility for delivery quality, team development, client relationships and commercial performance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Set priorities and establish an effective operating rhythm for the regional team, allocating work and supporting a positive environment in which colleagues can perform and develop.
  • Lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure assignments from mobilisation through to completion, resolving issues and coordinating appropriate technical resources.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with clients, delivery organisations and project partners, providing clear and practical advice on property access, permissions and approvals.
  • Develop the regional pipeline through networking, bid support, account development and the introduction of complementary services.
  • Coach colleagues, share specialist knowledge and promote confident delegation across the wider practice.
  • Maintain strong control of project economics, including resource planning, forecasting, fee recovery, invoicing and outstanding payments.
  • Provide authoritative guidance when projects encounter complex land, stakeholder or approval challenges.


Job Requirements:

  • Director-level leadership experience within rail, transport, infrastructure, property access, stakeholder management or a closely related discipline.
  • Practical understanding of property access, third-party permissions, community liaison or comparable services supporting major infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience leading relevant workstreams on substantial capital programmes, with accountability for people, outputs and client commitments.
  • A constructive leadership style, with the ability to build confidence, broaden capability and give colleagues clear ownership of their work.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience with resource plans, forecasts, fee recovery and account development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to decision-makers, technical teams, project partners and other stakeholders.
  • Credibility within the infrastructure market, supported by strong relationship-building, networking and business development skills.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to simplify complex matters, identify workable improvements and provide balanced recommendations.
