Your new firm

Our client is a highly regarded regional law firm with a market-leading Employment practice recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. Acting for a broad range of national and international clients across the public, private and third sectors, the firm has built an outstanding reputation for providing pragmatic, commercially focused employment law advice. Lawyers benefit from a collaborative culture, high-quality work and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Your new role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded Employment team as a Senior Associate, based in Reading. Working as part of a wider Thames Valley and South Coast Employment practice, you will advise a diverse client base on the full spectrum of employment law matters. The role offers a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work, including employment tribunal claims, day-to-day HR and workforce matters, corporate support work and client training. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, from household-name private sector organisations through to NHS bodies, government organisations and third sector clients. Alongside client advisory work, you will play an active role in business development initiatives, including networking, seminars, webinars and thought leadership activities. The position also offers the chance to supervise and mentor junior lawyers whilst working closely with specialist colleagues across areas including pensions and immigration. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer seeking high-quality work, strong client exposure and a clear pathway for career progression within a thriving and supportive team.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified Solicitor with strong employment law experience gained within private practice. Applications are welcomed from experienced Employment Associates and Senior Associates who can demonstrate solid technical expertise across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will possess excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills alongside a commercial and pragmatic approach to client service. Experience developing client relationships, managing matters independently and supporting business development initiatives will be advantageous. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about building their employment law expertise, enjoy working collaboratively within a team environment and have the drive to contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice.

What you'll get in return

You'll be joining one of the region's leading Employment teams, recognised for the quality of its work and strength of its client relationships. The firm offers excellent progression prospects, strong partner support and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of high-profile clients. Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, you'll benefit from ongoing professional development, exposure to varied and complex employment matters and the chance to establish a strong profile across both the Thames Valley and South Coast markets.

What you need to do now

If you're interested in this opportunity or would like a confidential discussion, please get in touch.
